As a long time fan of the NFL, Founder Dean Batogowski always loved watching games on Sunday and Monday night. Although from Chicago, it didn't matter if the game was Tampa Bay vs. Cleveland, he would watch whatever was on. With the rise of Fantasy Sports in the mid 90's, Dean took his first stab at playing what we know today as "Fantasy Football" where a person drafts multiple position Players in the interest of acquiring the most points each week and over the year. Well in that year's draft Dean's first round pick was Troy Aikman which sounds good only this was the first year AFTER Troy retired. Needless to say, Dean was laughed at and rightfully so. Dean finished that year in last place and vowed never to play "Fantasy Football" again. It wasn't so much about the ridicule as Dean had always been fine with others laughing at his own expense. It was more about finding the time to make sure he started the right Players at the right time and not start a kicker that was on a bye week, etc. (which he also did that year).

According to Dean, the inherent problem with "Fantasy Football" was that the interests of the NFL Players were not necessarily aligned with the individual who drafted them. For example, Tom Brady would rather win the game throwing for 70 yards and 0 TD's than lose throwing for 400 yards and 5 TD's. By that rationale alone, friendly sports wagering within your social network of friends, family or co-workers should be centered on TEAMS rather than individual position players. This is the whole concept behind Franchise Fantasy Sports.

Franchise Fantasy Sports gives you all the excitement of fantasy sports without the headache of having to conduct heavy research on an almost daily basis to determine which Players to draft in the beginning of the season and who to start each week. You simply have 1 draft before the season starts which usually lasts 30 minutes and root for the teams you picked - that's it! If you draft Seattle, Kansas City, Dallas, and Oakland you instantly become Seattle, Kansas City, Dallas, and Oakland fans for the rest of the year. No point spread, no weekly office pools, no changes to your starting line up plus your interests are perfectly aligned with those of each team to win football games.
