The Pick 4 Challenge

1. Determine your league(s)

League options may be a local sports bar, a Facebook friend, a brand sponsor like Best Buy or Captain Morgan, or a general Franchise Fantasy Sports League.

2. Select four NFL teams each week. Teams are placed in these tiers:

  • Tier 1: the Sure Thing
    Tier 2: the Toss Up
    Tier 3: the Long Shot
    Tier 4: The Monday Nighter

You select one team from each tier with the goal of going 4-0. If you don't go 4-0, try again the next week.

3. Cheer for your teams and compete against others in a sponsored league:

Depending on the sponsor league you are playing in, you can win weekly/daily prizes or a grand prize for the most points in that sponsor's league.

1. Determine how many players will be in your private league (2-7 players)

2. Each player drafts four NHL teams. The draft can be done two ways:

Auto Draft: The Commissioner enters the players and in one click teams are randomly selected for league players.

Fantasy "Snake Stlye" Draft: Determine draft order and the order reverses in rounds 2 and 4 so there is not an advantage to picking 1st. Commissioner enters each player's draft picks.

Any remaining teams after each player has drafted their 4 teams are "free agents" and can be picked up later in the season.

3. Cheer for your teams and compete against the others in your private league

Points are earned as your teams win games. The more they win, the more points they earn. Playoff wins are more valuable than regular season wins with each round of the playoffs earning more points for a win.

Want to make it "interesting"? Here are two options:

Play "JHB Style": League players agree to play for $X per point prior to the season. Settle up at the end of the season based on the point difference.

Play "Buy-In Style": All league players pitch in $X prior to the season. Players finishing in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place get some % of the pot.
